Job Summary:
Neuro Stepdown Nurse Needed Step Down Unit This opportunity is for a skilled registered nurse in a neuro stepdown unit located at a healthcare facility. The role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients with neurological diagnoses within a 30-bed unit that combines neuro stepdown and telemetry care. The position requires flexibility with ratios and experience in a similar acute care setting.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), 3 years minimum experience in Stepdown or Telemetry units, recent Nursys license verification within the last 2 weeks.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with charting system Epic, community hospital experience, LTAC experience, trauma level I or II experience, travel experience.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required.
• Additional Information: Candidate must be comfortable with patient ratios between 1:3-5, accessing/managing ports, managing BiPAP/CPAP, caring for wounds and drains, neuro-specific protocols, and trauma-related procedures. Experience on a neuro stepdown unit monitoring telemetry is essential. Onboarding includes completing necessary labs within 3-5 days of contract signing, and all compliance documents are due 10 days prior to start date.
