The role requires a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Job Details

  • Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); two years of clinical experience; North Dakota licensure; ability to read and interpret cardiac strips; experience with adult and geriatric patient populations; proficiency with Epic electronic health record system; tele/heart unit experience; able to perform titration of drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix, and low-dose Dopamine.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience; comfortable with first-time travel assignments; familiarity with the facilitys charting and workflows.
  • Care Setting: Acute care in a step down unit with approximately 32 beds, staffed with nurses, nurse aides, and monitor technicians.
  • Responsibilities: Monitoring and interpreting telemetry, troubleshooting Bipap, trachs, and airvo devices, managing patient care and titratable drips, and collaborating with charge nurses and support staff.
  • Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, with rotation scheduled weekly; staff scheduled by management with possible blocked schedules.
  • Additional Information: Orientation consists of two 12-hour shifts on Friday and Saturday; full on-unit orientation followed by independent work. Floating to other hospital areas as needed; all duties performed in accordance with facility policies.
