Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown Cardiac position requiring MO or compact RN license and telemetry monitoring skills.

Details

• Stepdown Cardiac unit combining stepdown and cardiopulmonary care
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:00
• Cardiac monitoring with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Use of Rapid Response/Code teams for emergency response
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
• Central line and peripheral line care/management
• Management of cardiac drips (titration not required)
• Respiratory care including nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Any charting system experience required

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (NIHSS may be pending but must be completed in compliance) through the American Heart Association
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
• Nursing degree required

Additional Information

• Provide cardiac stepdown care including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Utilize isolation precautions and PPE as required by unit protocols
• Support emergency response through Rapid Response and Code team involvement
