Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown unit position requiring Med Surg background, cardiac drip experience, and NH or compact RN license.

Details

• Stepdown unit caring for an adult-geriatric patient population
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM), 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• No on-call requirements
• Will float to Kingsbury unit as needed
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active NH RN license or Compact license required in-hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Current NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• NIHSS strongly preferred in addition to required certification
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience required
• Cardiac drip experience required and must be noted on profile
• Dementia experience/management required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must have personal vehicle due to lack of public transportation in this community
• Permanent address must be included in profile

Additional Information

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients and participate in patient and family teaching
• Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care team members to maintain professional nursing practice standards
• Traveler-provided professional scrubs required, no logos permitted
• Must work two holiday blocks when scheduled: Thanksgiving Day/following Friday and weekend after, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and weekend after, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and weekend after
• Travelers may not take all holidays off
• Maximum of 5 days RTO accepted for the assignment, and must be submitted upfront as scheduling requests cannot be accommodated after offer
• Block scheduling will not be accommodated for this position
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
