Job Description
- Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments.
- Prepare surgical trays and equipment according to facility standards.
- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves.
- Perform biological, chemical, and mechanical monitoring of sterilization processes.
- Maintain accurate sterilization and equipment records.
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage.
- Distribute sterile supplies and instruments to operating rooms and other departments.
- Follow infection-control, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized sterile processing environment.
