The shift is three 12-hour nights from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, specifically Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Holiday rotation is included. The clinician may be required to float within the scope to meet facility needs. Prior experience in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrapping is necessary. Experience in neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, orthopedic, transplant, and gynecological cases is preferred. First-time applicants are not accepted for this position. National certifications in CBSPD and/or HSPA are required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is not required. Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis. All requests for time off must be provided at the time of submission. The facility can cancel one shift per two weeks without exceeding two callouts, unless a doctor's note is provided. Additional conditions and expectations will be communicated by management as needed. The facility operates as a Level I Trauma Center and teaching facility with a total of 820 staffed beds. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is an issue, avoid confirming a new or extended assignment during the hurricane season, which runs from June through November.
