Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 3+ years in a similar facility License: Valid state license required Certifications: CBSPD or CRCST Must-Have: - Experience in decontamination of all items, including drills, scopes, and surgical instruments. - Familiarity with sterilization processes, including Sterrad and steam. - High-Level Disinfection (HLD) and scope experience. - Experience using the Censitrac tracking system. - Ability to float to other locations as required. Description: We are seeking experienced candidates for the role of Sterile Processing Technician. The position involves decontaminating all surgical items, including drills and scopes. Candidates will be responsible for the assembly of instruments across all service lines. Experience in sterilization processes, both Sterrad and steam, is essential. Candidates should be well-versed in high-level disinfection and scope processing. The Sterile Processing Technician must have experience with sterile storage and liaising with the operating room. Familiarity with the Censitrac tracking system is required. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of experience in a facility comparable in volume and complexity. This position may require work on weekends and occasional holidays. The role involves maintaining accurate documentation and contributing to a safe healthcare environment through proper sterilization techniques. The Sterile Processing Technician will also serve as a clinical liaison between departments to track and allocate sterilized instrumentation. This position is essential in ensuring that all medical supplies and instruments are properly sterilized and available for procedures.
