Description
We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to join a busy Level I Trauma hospital. The primary role focuses on decontamination, with occasional rotation to sterilization. The ideal candidate will ensure surgical instruments are properly cleaned, sterilized, assembled, and ready for patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Clean, decontaminate, inspect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
- Perform instrument tray assembly and proper sterilization wrapping.
- Operate steam sterilizers, washer disinfectors, low-temperature sterilization systems, and scope processing equipment.
- Perform biological and chemical indicator testing.
- Process specialty instruments for ENT, General Surgery, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Plastics, and Urology.
- Float within the department or to sister facilities as needed.
