Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 8 hours (23:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2 years required; Trauma Level I and II experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted. License: CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Trauma Level I experience required - Trauma Level II experience required - Travel experience required Description: A minimum of 2 years of experience is required. Trauma Level I and II experience is required. First-time travelers are not accepted. Contract length is 13 weeks. Shift includes 5x8 nights from 23:00 to 07:30. Candidate must possess CBSPD and IAHCSMM/HSPA certifications. Special equipment includes Steam Sterilizer, Washer Disinfector, VPR Low temp sterilization, Medivator for scope processing, Scope Buddy, and Cart Washer. Holiday and weekends are required as scheduled. Floating may be required within the specialty and other units. On-call is not required. The traveler must have acute hospital experience in an operating room. Knowledge of aseptic technique and sterilization procedures is essential. Candidates must be comfortable floating within scope with no restrictions. Compliance with onboarding requirements is mandatory.
