Travel Sterile Processing Tech - $1,228 per week in North Charleston, SC

Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required. Level 1 Trauma experience is required. Experience in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap is necessary. Types of cases preferred: Neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, GYN. First-time travelers are not accepted. License: South Carolina license preferred. Consideration for candidates with pending licenses if proof of application is provided. Certifications: CBSPD and/or HSPA certifications are required. BLS is not required. Must-Have: Candidates must be willing to float to meet facility needs. RTO must be provided before contract signing. Description: The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for the decontamination, sterilization, and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment. The tech will ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols. Proper handling and storage of sterile supplies are critical. Collaboration with surgical staff is essential to understand case needs. Attention to detail in maintaining accurate sterilization logs is necessary. The role may require floating to other facilities as needed. Trained staff should expect to participate in holiday rotation, though weekend coverage is not required. This position requires someone who is adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have experience with sterile processing in an acute care setting.
