Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 2 Years Required License: WA License Required Certifications: CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA Required Must-Have: Experience in supply knowledge, case picking, and teamwork Description: The position requires an individual to work in a dynamic, high-volume Sterile Processing environment. The average surgical case volume is 65, with an average daily tray volume of 1200. The department specializes in neuro, orthopedic, robotics, and some pediatric cases, along with standard service lines such as urology, general, and gynecology. Candidates must be self-motivated and able to pick cases independently. Teamwork and quality assurance are the primary expectations for this role. The candidate may be required to float to similar units as needed. The role demands knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures. Flexibility to work rotating weekends is essential. The position requires participation in a teaching environment, actively engaging in departmental learning initiatives.
