Travel Sterile Processing Tech - $1,309 per week in Clinton Township, MI

Job Title: Technician Profession: Technician Specialty: Surgical Reprocessing Duration: 15 weeks Shift: 3 PM - 11:30 PM and 11 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 5-7 years required License: Central Service Certification required Certifications: BLS preferred Must-Have: - Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and hospital personnel. - Computer skills. - Demonstrated customer service skills. Description: Under general supervision of the Coordinator/Manager/Director, cleans, inspects, assembles, packages, disinfects, and sterilizes all surgical products used to support physicians and the surgical team. Documents and monitors all sterilization processes in assigned areas, including but not limited to steam, ETOH, Sterrad, and high-level disinfectants. Ensures all monitoring methods are compliant with the standards. Supplies the needs of various departments by properly meeting and anticipating the instrumentation needs for pending cases. Receives, unpacks, shelves supplies, and maintains appropriate par levels with rotation sterile supply management principles. Works with the surgical specialty teams to ensure that the supplies for each patient are available when needed. Proactively coordinates the preparation of the case cart according to the surgeon’s preference card for the supplies, equipment, instruments, and implants needed for each patient. Good communication and attendance are essential. Candidates will be trained in the necessary skills.
