Job Title: Central Sterile Technician Profession: Central Sterile Technician Specialty: Central Sterile Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday to Friday with rotating weekends Hours per Shift: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM Experience: Minimum 1 year of related experience required, 2-4 years preferred License: None required Certifications: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required Must-Have: - High School Diploma or Equivalent required - Knowledge of case cart assembly - Familiarity with the regulatory standards of materials management Description: Responsible for performing sterilization procedures on medical instruments and equipment in accordance with established procedures, infection control standards, industry standards, recommended practices on sterilization, and regulatory requirements. Processes specialty and general instruments. Resets instrument sets without error. Decontaminates instruments and equipment according to procedures. Maintains Central Sterile Department stock levels. Prepares and assembles surgical trays and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing. Communicates instrument repair needs to supervisor.
