Travel Sterile Processing Tech - $1,366 per week in Santa Monica, CA

Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (09:00 - 17:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Valid state license required Certifications: National HSPA certification required, BLS required Must-Have: - National certification as of 9/12/2024 - 2 years of experience required - Ability to float to sister facilities Description: In the main operating room. Two years of Sterile Processing Technician experience required. First-timers not accepted. BLS certification is required. No on-call required. Must include all time off requests at the time of submission. Approval of time off will be based on facility's needs. The facility is allowed to call off one shift every two weeks. Type of facility: Acute care hospital. Total staffed beds: 266. Scrub color: navy blue for RNs. Charting system used: Epic. Daily census: 30 cases. Number of rooms: 12. Interdisciplinary support is available. Special procedures and unit details may be applicable. Travel experience is required. Must have experience with various scopes and sterilization techniques. Candidates must disclose any license or background hits during compliance. References covering one year within the last three years are required. All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state. Travelers refusing to float may face termination of assignment. Candidates must respond to specific questions regarding previous employment. An LA fire card within the last 30 days is required. Modules are completed pre-start and annually on a non-billable basis. Completion of modules is self-reported and recorded.
