Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid state license required Certifications: National certifications not required Must-Have: - Rotating weekends required, at least every 3rd or 4th weekend, may exceed to meet unit needs. - Must be open to weekends. - First-timers not accepted. - Travel experience required. - Must include response to the following: Have you ever worked as a permanent employee, on a travel contract, or as registry/per-diem? Description: This position involves working in Sterile Processing. The role requires expertise in various sterilization techniques and aseptic procedures. Experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred. Candidates must be familiar with equipment documentation and biological indicators. Skills in reprocessing surgical instruments and using sterilization wrapping procedures are essential. Interdisciplinary support is part of the healthcare environment. The role may include interactions with a diverse patient population. Candidates are expected to float between facilities within the state as needed. Refusal to float may result in the termination of the assignment. Travelers are expected to commit to working three of the five holidays. References will be required as part of the compliance process. All applicants should disclose any license or background hits upfront. Certain documentation may be required for the assignment.
