Sterile Processing SUPERVISOR *** PREFERENCE GIVEN TO THOSE INTEREST IN A PERM OPPORTUNITY** **THIS IS A TEMP-> PERM OPPORTUNITY ** Shift: 3X12s, 7P-7:30A (FRIDAY-SUNDAY) with holiday rotation Weekend REQ: no Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? yes Floating Req to Sister Facilities: yes *May be required to float or be permanently switched to to CSC, Main, or West Campus Years of experience REQ: Minimum of three (3) years of sterile processing experience PRIOR LEADERSHIP EXP REQUIRED** Familiarity with electronic instrument tracking systems - PREFERRED National Certs REQ: CBSPD and/or CRCST HSPA BLS REQ: not required 30% Supervision and Leadership: Directly supervise Lead Technician, Tech I, II, III, and Non-Certified Technicians across all SPD work areas (decontamination, prep/pack, sterilization, case carts, sterile storage) Provide daily assignments of staff based on workload, case volume, and departmental priorities. Oversee instrument tracking systems, documentation accuracy, and inventory control. Collaborate with Educator/Manager on orientation and training plans. 30% Department Advancement and Expectations Coordinate daily SPD operations to meet surgical and procedural case demands. Monitor tray turnaround times, instrument availability, and case cart readiness. Trouble shoot equipment, instrument, and workflow issues in real time. Ensure proper segregation of clean/dirty workflows and adherence to infection prevention practices. Ensure compliance with AAMI ST79, AORN guidelines, CDC recommendations, and regulatory standards. 30% Coordination and Management of Specialty Services Audit tray assembly accuracy, count sheets, peel packs, and labeling requirements. Address service concerns and implement service recovery when needed. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings related to instrumentation, workflow, and quality initiatives. 10% Sterile Processing Duties Monitor adherence to infection control, safety, and universal precautions across the department Organize, store, and distribute instruments, trays and equipment to ensure availability. Prepare instrument trays and equipment for sterilization processes Decontamination and Sterilization of Instruments, Medical Supplies, and Equipment First-timers accepted: No Level 1 Trauma experience-required Experience required:- Sterilization, Decontaminate and assembly/wrap SPT experience Types of cases (experience) preferred: Neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, Transplant, GYN Local Radius: 60 miles Locals Accepted: Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less than the posted rate RTO Restrictions: ALL RTO must be provided at time of submission. No RTO will be approved after contract is signed. Approval based on dept needs Guaranteed hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.
