Travel Sterile Processing Tech - $1,600 to $1,700 per week in Glens Falls, NY

Position Overview

Glens Falls Hospital is seeking an experienced Certified Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to join its Central Sterile Processing team. The technician will be responsible for cleaning, decontaminating, sterilizing, assembling, and preparing surgical instruments and equipment to support safe and efficient surgical procedures.

The facility has 16 operating rooms, including Labor & Delivery coverage for C-sections, and performs approximately 50 procedures per day across a broad range of specialties.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sterile processing and instrument preparation according to established standards and procedures.
• Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and equipment.
• Ensure instruments and surgical supplies are properly prepared and available for procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow infection prevention and quality-control standards.
• Support operating room staff by ensuring timely availability of sterile instruments and equipment.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented Central Sterile Processing environment.
• Maintain knowledge of sterile processing techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Follow hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties related to Central Sterile Processing as assigned.
