Position: Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) $$SN$$
Location: Allentown, Pennsylvania
Shift: Mid Shift – 5x8s (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Duties• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and medical equipment.
• Perform high-level disinfection (HLD) and flexible endoscope reprocessing.
• Operate and monitor steam sterilizers, Sterrad systems, and sterilization testing equipment.
• Assemble case carts and instrument trays according to preference cards.
• Process specialty instrumentation for trauma, orthopedic, neuro, cardiac, robotic, laparoscopic, vascular, transplant, and other surgical services.
• Maintain accurate equipment documentation and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards.
• Support a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center operating room and ancillary procedural areas.
