Position: Quality Control Technician – Sterile Processing $$SN$$
Location: Long Beach, California
Shift: 3rd Shift (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM) – 5x8s
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Duties
• Perform decontamination, cleaning, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments in accordance with ANSI/AAMI standards and manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFUs).
• Inspect surgical instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage prior to packaging and sterilization.
• Assemble and package surgical instrument trays accurately according to procedure requirements.
• Operate washers, sterilizers, autoclaves, and other sterile processing equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, and inventory control.
• Identify and report missing, damaged, or malfunctioning instruments per established SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with infection control standards, quality assurance protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain clean and organized decontamination and sterile processing work areas.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with supply management.
• Collaborate with team members to support workflow efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
