Job Summary Responsible for the decontamination, preparation, packaging, and sterilization processes of all surgical instrumentation and patient care equipment. Familiarity with correct materials for packaging, wrapping, and sterilization methods of instrument sets and trays is essential. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and perform heavy lifting and pushing of trays and sterilization carts.
Required Qualifications
Certified Registered Central Service Technician or CBSPD certification
High School Diploma
Ability to read, write, and understand the English language
Preferred Qualifications
Basic computer knowledge with an Instrument Tracking system (e.g., ABACUS/MICROSYSTEMS)
General knowledge of the function and maintenance of surgical instruments and patient care equipment
Competence in operating sterilizers
Ability to work well with others
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
