The Travel Superintendent will oversee and manage construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget. This role offers the opportunity to lead teams, coordinate with various stakeholders, and contribute to high-quality property development projects.

Description

  • Manage all on‑site construction activities from mobilization through project closeout
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and inspections
  • Maintain project schedules and proactively identify impacts to timeline or cost
  • Enforce site safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite at all times
  • Coordinate material deliveries, site logistics, and phased work (including open‑store remodels)
  • Conduct daily site walks and quality control inspections
  • Lead subcontractor meetings and coordinate weekly work plans
  • Communicate effectively with Project Managers, clients, inspectors, and internal teams
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, photo documentation, and project records
  • Identify potential issues early and develop corrective solutions to avoid delays or cost overruns
  • Oversee punch list completion and ensure successful project turnover

Profile

A successful Travel Superintendent should have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent with a General Contractor
  • Strong background in retail, commercial, or multi‑site construction (open remodel experience a plus)
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively nationwide for project assignments
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple trades simultaneously
  • Thorough understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and schedules
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills in fast‑track environments
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • OSHA 30 required
  • Proficiency with construction technology (Procore or similar platforms preferred)
  • First project in Tacoma, Washington
