Description
About the role
The Travel Support and Service Team Lead is responsible for coordinating all travel logistics for the team, ensuring that travel arrangements are efficient and meet contract requirements.
What you'll do
Deploy technical personnel to travel nationwide, providing support for voice and data communication equipment installed in vehicles, fixed locations on buildings, structures, towers, mountaintops, and temporary installations as needed.
Deliver customer service to agency representatives at these locations, addressing user experience concerns and ensuring optimal utilization of communication technology to support agency missions.
Operate essential tools and equipment required for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, including:
Hand tools and power tools.
Test equipment, programming devices, key fill devices, and other specialized hardware.
Ensure staff have experience with nationwide travel logistics, including:
Navigating airports and coordinating lodging and transportation.
Adhering to strict schedules to meet operational deadlines.
Successfully executing site visits to install, maintain, improve, or restore voice and data communication equipment.
Qualifications
Strong organizational and communication skills.
2+ years of experience coordinating travel logistics for technical or service teams.
Knowledge of travel policies and budgeting.
Experience in supporting government contracts is a plus.
