Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position supporting the GU/ENT surgical team, requiring IL RN licensure and rotating call.

Details

• Operating room setting within a surgical services unit supporting the GU/ENT team
• Schedule consists of (4) 10-hour day shifts, consecutive days in a row
• Rotating evening and weekend call required
• Rotating weekend and holiday shifts
• May float to other Carle Health hospital locations within the system
• EPIC charting experience required

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• EPIC EMR charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma center experience required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room, including assessment, care planning, and implementation of nursing interventions
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation for continuity of care
• Responsible for reporting and correcting patient and employee safety hazards
• Collaborate with the surgical team and contribute to peer professional development
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Previous Carle Health contingent workers must complete a 6-month break in service if they were on assignment for more than 1 year before returning
