Travel Surgical First Assistant (SFA) - $2,182 per week in Leonardtown, MD

Job Title: Certified Surgical First Assistant Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Certified Surgical First Assistant Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of experience required License: Must have the appropriate state license Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and NBSTSA preferred Must-Have: * Completed at least 1 travel assignment * Call required * Weekends required (1-2 per contract) Description: Certified Surgical First Assistant for an acute inpatient OR and Client OR setting. ASAP start is required. Orientation occurs every Monday. Locals within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate. Days shift from 07:00 to 19:30, working 3 days a week. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. BLS certification is required, and ACLS and NBSTSA are preferred. Call and weekend shifts are mandatory. Candidates must have experience with a variety of surgical procedures and techniques including laparoscopic, robotic, and various other surgeries. Knowledge of aseptic techniques is essential. Experience with suturing all wound layers, including muscle and fascia, is required. Candidates will provide support to the surgical team and assist in patient care during surgery. Overall readiness for a dynamic and fast-paced surgical environment is a must.
