Key Responsibilities of the Surgical First Assistant- Assist the surgical team during procedures in specialties such as neuro/ENT, orthopedic, and general surgery
- Prepare and maintain surgical tools and equipment
- Ensure a sterile surgical environment
- Collaborate with the surgical team to optimize patient care and outcomes
Requirements of the Surgical First Assistant- Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) from NBSTSA, ABSA, or NCCSA
- BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical setting
