Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Surgical Technologist Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Hours (07:00 - 17:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year License: State or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA Must-Have: Experience with Davinci robotics, general, orthopedic, vascular, neuro, gynecological, and urology procedures required. Unit accepts first-time travelers. Description: Days of work are from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. There is a rotating day off and required call. The position requires fluency in the English language to function appropriately in the job environment. Candidates must exhibit a desire to exemplify the culture, including the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Good interpersonal and customer service skills are essential. Candidates should demonstrate good organizational and follow-through skills. The Surgical Technologist is accountable for assisting the registered nurse and surgeon in preparing for surgical procedures. They will assist in surgical procedures and prepare for the next case. The scrub technologist handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. They must understand the procedure being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeon. The individual has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure. They must be vigilant in maintaining a sterile field.
