Join our team as a Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist in San Bernardino, CA. You will function as a member of a cardiac surgical team, assisting surgeons and nurses in the operating room during procedures. You will ensure patient safety by preparing the OR, sterilizing and organizing instruments, and providing perioperative support for cardiac and general surgical cases.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential via NBSTSA.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a CVOR technologist in a cardiac surgical environment.
  • Ability to single scrub cardiac cases and scrub in main OR cases including orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, robotics, urology, general, and gynecology.
  • Experience with Cerner charting system.
  • Willingness to take call as required, including every other week (EOW).
  • Orientation availability for a 12-hour orientation period.
  • Preferred: previous experience with hybrid rooms and complex cardiovascular instrumentation.


Assignment Details:

  • Facility Type: Hospital (OR - CVOR).
  • Shift: Days.
  • Shift Hours: 0600-1700 (4x10 schedule).
  • Shift Pattern: Thurs off; call required, every other week.
  • Assignment Duration: 13 week assignment with guaranteed 40 hours per week.
  • Orientation: 12 hours.
  • Charting System: Cerner.
  • Float Requirement: Must be able to work in main OR when cardiac case volume is low.
