Job Title: Surgical Technologist Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: OR Tech / Surgical Tech Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 4 years of Operating Room experience prior to travel License: Must have GA or Compact license Certifications: Required certifications Must-Have: Candidates must have experience in Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics. Description: This is a sensitive unit. Candidates should review all details in the job description carefully. The service lines include Bariatrics, Urology, Neurology, ENT, Oral, Plastics, Transplant, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics. Weekend work is required every other weekend. Call duties are variable and will be discussed during the interview. Candidates may need to float within the facility and to outpatient settings as required. A clinical screening will be conducted to determine fit for the position. Travel experience is preferred. The patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The unit diagnoses a variety of conditions and performs special procedures related to the surgical specialties required. Candidates must have specific skills in various surgical procedures including, but not limited to, abdominal hysterectomy, appendectomy, craniotomy, and general, neuro, ortho, and transplant surgeries. All candidates must demonstrate compliance documents prior to the start date. References from supervisory personnel are preferred during the application process. Travelers are expected to be available for major holidays during their assignment period with specific requests considered on a case-by-case basis. Candidates must be available to submit all core items promptly after signing a contract to ensure an on-time start.
