Travel Surgical Tech - $1,710 per week in Redwood City, CA

Job Title: Surgical Tech Profession: Surgical Tech Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10H Days Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Not required Certifications: BLS Certification, COVID Vaccine Required Must-Have: - 2 years of OR experience - Experience with Cerner Surginet preferred Description: Unit: Operating Room Number of beds: 4 beds in main OR and 8 beds in the pavilion Certifications required: BLS Nurse to patient ratios: 1:1 (nurses circulate) Ability to scrub is a plus but not required Electronic Medical Record system: Cerner Surginet Charge Nurse: Yes, does not handle patients or cases Scrub techs are utilized Weekend requirement: Not required Holidays are covered by call Scrub color is provided by the facility Call: 1 shift per week, every 4th weekend Shifts: Variable start times from 6 am to 9 am with call; no evenings, no weekends Floating: Not required Common diagnoses/types of patients: Mainly orthopedic cases such as total hips, knees, and joints Additional cases include neuro and spine, cardiovascular, general, gynecology, urology, and ENT Average cases per day: 15-25 Average cases per month: 400 Percentage of cases that are inpatient: 20-25% Only cardiovascular or robotic cases if experience is present Very specific processes are followed in the OR suites Critical patients go directly to ICU from the OR Cancellation policy allows for cancellation of up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment Charting system: Cerner BSN Requirement: Not required Trauma Level: Not specified Care Setting: Acute Division: Allied Shift Notes: 10 hour days Required Certifications: BLS Certification, COVID Vaccine Required
