Travel Surgical Tech - $1,743 per week in Washington, DC

Job Title: Surgical Technician Profession: Technician Specialty: Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years scrubbing experience in Labor & Delivery required License: Certification and registration as a Certified Surgical Technologist required Certifications: BLS certification required, NBSTSA Certification as a surgical technologist (CST) required Must-Have: - Experience in Labor & Delivery, where cesarean sections are a primary procedure - High school diploma or equivalency required - Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or certification or degree from an accredited nursing program Description: We are seeking a certified surgical technologist with experience in Labor & Delivery. Candidates must have knowledge of surgical procedures. The surgical technician will prepare supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for surgical cases. The technician is expected to anticipate the needs in the surgical field when passing instruments. Assisting the surgical team in all procedures is a key responsibility. The surgical technician will be responsible for case clean-up. Additional duties include positioning patients, moving patients, and room turnovers. Good communication skills are essential for successful performance in this role.
