Travel Surgical Tech - $1,744 per week in Washington, DC

Job Title: Surgical Technician Profession: Technician Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotation Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of scrubbing experience in Labor & Delivery required License: High School diploma or equivalency required Certifications: NBSTSA Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required, BLS certification required Must-Have: - Certified Surgical Technologist - Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or certification or degree from an accredited nursing program Description: We are seeking a certified surgical technologist with experience in Labor & Delivery, where cesarean sections are a primary procedure. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of scrubbing experience in Labor & Delivery. Strong communication skills are essential for this role. The surgical technician will be responsible for knowing the surgical procedure, preparing supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for surgical cases. They must anticipate the needs in the surgical field when passing instruments and assist the surgical team in all procedures. The surgical technician is responsible for case clean up, positioning patients, moving patients, and room turnovers.
