Ability to assist with circumcision procedures is needed. Bili light care skills are required. Ability to draw blood from mother and baby is essential. Experience in magnesium administration for pre-eclamptic patients is necessary. Advanced skills in NRP and BLS are required. Description: This is a general description for the role in the OR specialty. The unit has a total of 11 beds, including labor and triage beds. The patient ratios are 1:1 for laboring patients and 3:1 for couplets. Unit staffing includes birth registrars and surgical OR techs. The equipment used includes Monica wireless fetal monitoring and GE fetal monitoring. Documentation is done using Meditech and CPN. Scheduling requires working every third weekend. There is a policy for floating to a sister facility. Patient experience priorities include bedside reporting and safety rounding. Certifications required include Burn and Trauma certifications. The unit performs a variety of procedures such as C-sections, circumcisions, vaginal deliveries, antepartum testing, and ultrasounds. The unit is characterized as a small, close-knit, family-oriented environment with a strong emphasis on teamwork. Staff can utilize a self-scheduling platform to manage their shifts.
