Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technician for a travel contract in Corpus Christi, TX. Specializing in operating room duties, you will work in a dynamic clinical environment. Key Responsibilities of the Certified Surgical Technician
  • Perform technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients
  • Maintain aseptic techniques and monitor situations for potential breaches
  • Provide comfort and support for pre-operative patients, ensuring sensitivity to confidentiality
  • Transport patients to and from the Operating Room suite and position them accordingly
  • Identify and manage biological specimens
  • Prepare the Operating Room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies for surgical cases
  • Proficiently scrub in specialty areas such as Transplants, Open Heart, Urology, Neurology, and Robotics
  • Establish and maintain sterile fields, passing instruments and sutures as directed
  • Utilize physician preference cards for pulling cases and setting up the OR
  • Maintain a safe environment using technical and aseptic practices
  • Adhere to Universal Barrier Precautions for safety

Requirements of the Certified Surgical Technician
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of the Surgical Technology program or accredited LVN/LPN program required
  • Minimum 2 years of neuro surgery experience required
  • BLS certification required (AHA only)
  • CST License or LVN/LPN License required
