Job Title: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: OR Tech / Surgical Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:00 - 17:30) Experience: 2 years of experience required in multi-specialties, specifically Orthopedic, Thoracic, Vascular, and Robotics License: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Robotics, Vascular, and Thoracic experience required Description: MUST BE CERTIFIED as a Surgical Technologist. Candidate will be reviewed by clinical to determine clinical fit. Candidates who pass the clinical review will be sent to the manager for final decision. Clinical screens will be sent on a case-by-case basis. Manager will conduct interviews. No guaranteed block scheduling. Requires 2-3 calls within a 6-week matrix. 30-minute call back response required. 3-4 weekend shifts within a 6-week matrix. Weekends could be day, evening, or night shifts. Holidays may be required as per department needs. Holidays could be day, evening, or night shifts. Level I Trauma experience required. Must be able to care for COVID patients. Facility is tobacco and fragrance-free. Candidate may float to sterile processing as needed. Local candidates may be considered, but will be offered at a lower rate. This evaluation excludes open heart/cardiac and neurosurgery. RTO should be minimized to a maximum of 7 days. Units will have a daily census of 50-60 patients. Interdisciplinary support, including various medical teams, will be available. Candidate must have experience working with Epic, the electronic medical record system. Candidates must also possess certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Pairs can travel together, but scheduling cannot be guaranteed. Modules for onboarding will be billable and generally take 5-6 hours to complete. Modules must be completed before starting the position.
