Travel Surgical Tech - $1,908 to $2,108 per week in Springfield, OH

Join our team as a Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist in Springfield, OH, at a hospital setting. You will function as a member of a cardiac surgical team, assisting physicians and nurses in the operating room during cardiac and vascular procedures. You will prepare the OR, maintain the sterile field, provide instruments and supplies, perform counts and specimen handling, and support perioperative patient safety and workflow.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from an NBSTSA-accredited program, TS-C, or equivalent national certification.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac (CVOR/CVOR-related) surgical technologist experience.
• 1–2 years’ general OR experience preferred.
• Experience with CVOR procedures including CABG, valve surgery, and vascular bypass procedures preferred.
• Experience supporting hybrid cases such as TAVR and working in hybrid OR or combined CVOR/cath lab settings preferred.
• Ability to respond to call within a 30-minute timeframe when scheduled for heart call.
• Willingness to float to the main OR when CVOR or vascular cases are not scheduled.
• Previous travel experience preferred.

Assignment Details

• Facility Type: Hospital (CVOR)
• Shift Name: Mid Shift
• Shift Type: 8 or 10 hour shifts, schedule includes heart call with approximately 10–15 calls in a 6-week period when covering heart call.
• Case mix: CABG, valve procedures, carotids, fem-pop and other vascular bypass, approximately 3–4 cardiac cases per week; support in cath lab for TCAR, EVAR, TVAR as needed.
• Response Time for Call: 30 minutes.
• Floating: Candidate may be required to float to the main OR when CVOR/vascular volume is low.
• On-site arrangements: Department will arrange a place to sleep if needed for call.
