Travel Surgical Tech - $1,915 per week in Portland, OR

Job Opportunity – Certified Surgical Technologist – Portland, OR 97213

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Portland, Oregon metropolitan area

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00). On-call requirements include 16 hours of weekday call and 24 hours of weekend call every 4 weeks. Weekend shifts required as needed for department coverage. Daily census of 60 patients across 21 operating rooms.

• Advanced oncology surgical focus with state-of-the-art technology including Da Vinci Xi and SI robotic surgical systems
• 418-bed short-term acute care facility with Epic charting system and modern endovascular and hybrid room capabilities
• 91-day travel assignment with potential for extension after 3-month break period
• One pre-approved time off period available when requested at time of application
• Comprehensive 40-hour orientation program to ensure successful integration

Requirements:

• Current certification through NBSTSA or ASATT required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of surgical technology experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Valid state license or compact license in hand at time of submission
• Trauma Level I experience strongly preferred
• Broad knowledge of surgical equipment and procedures across multiple specialties required
• Experience with Da Vinci robotic systems, laparoscopic procedures, and endovascular techniques preferred
• Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
