Key Responsibilities of the Certified Surgical Technician
Prepare and organize the operating room equipment, instruments, and supplies as required.
Assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel.
Maintain sterile techniques and sustain a sterile field during surgical procedures.
Provide necessary equipment and instruments during surgeries, ensuring efficient and effective access for the surgical team.
Requirements of the Certified Surgical Technician
Certified by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
Proven experience as a Certified Surgical Technician in an Operating Room setting.
We do not accept the NCCT certification in lieu of NBSTSA.
