Travel Surgical Tech - $1,984 to $2,184 per week in Boston, MA

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to expertly assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and providing support to the surgical team.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• BLS Certification.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a certified OR Tech / Surgical Technologist in a high-capacity operating room setting.
• Experience working in a hospital operating room environment with exposure to varied surgical specialties.
• Ability to perform instrument processing, sterile technique, and room setup for multiple procedure types.
• Client requirement: experience with 4x10 schedules, day/evening rotations, and flexibility for weekend coverage and short-call shifts is preferred.
• Preferred: Prior experience floating between OR rooms or units within a large hospital system.

Assignment Details

• Facility Type: Hospital.
• Shift Pattern: 4x10 day/evening rotation with scheduled evenings and days as needed.
• Typical Shift Times (per client plan): Evenings 1:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.; Days 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri) and 9:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. (Wed).
• Schedule Includes: two weeks of night coverage during contract, at least two short-call shifts per 4-week schedule, and weekend shifts. When scheduled for weekend 12-hour shifts, remaining shifts that week will be 8–10 hours to meet contracted hours.
• Assignment Length: standard 13-week contract.
• Required: experience in a high-capacity operating room. Floating between rooms or units within the facility may be required.
