Job Title: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: OR Neuro Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience preferred License: Required Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA heavily preferred Must-Have: Must have neuro/spine skills. Must be able to respond to call within 60 minutes. Must have a 4's on skills checklist for Neuro Surgery. Description: Seeking an OR Neuro Tech for a day shift position. This role requires participation in weekly orientation. Candidates must have prior experience in neuro cases including anterior cervical fusion, burr holes, cervical fusion, craniotomy, deep brain stimulation, insertion of VP shunt, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion, stereotactic radiosurgery, posterior fossa decompression, ALIF, and MI surgery. Experience with general, orthopedic, neuro, and plastics procedures is required. The top three services provided are neurosurgery, orthopedics, and plastics, particularly reconstructive. Candidates should be comfortable using robotic systems and have experience in a variety of surgical settings including inpatient, outpatient, teaching, and community hospitals. Additional preferred skills include neuroscience surgical techniques and specialization in reconstructive and elective surgeries. Charting will be conducted using a specified electronic medical records system. This position allows for the acceptance of first-time travelers. Scrubs will be provided. No RTO is permitted during the initial two weeks of the assignment. Further details about specific surgical cases will be discussed during the interview process.
