Job Title: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Surgical Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience License: Relevant state license required Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA preferred Must-Have: - Neuro/Spine skills - Aseptic technique - Ability to scrub for specific neuro surgeries Description: OR Neuro Tech position available. Shift: Day shift from 07:00 to 17:30. Must possess solid neuro and spine surgical skills. Ability to respond within 60 minutes for on-call duties. Required skills include anterior cervical fusion, burr holes, cervical fusion, craniotomy, deep brain stimulation, insertion of VP shunt, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion, stereotactic radiosurgery, posterior fossa decompression, and ALIF. Experience with general, orthopedic, neuro, and plastics surgeries is beneficial. Familiarity with a teaching hospital or community hospital is preferred. Experience with Cerner charting system is a plus. Scrubs will be provided for the position. Candidates should be comfortable traveling for assignments. No requested time off (RTO) is permitted during the first two weeks. RTO should be planned in advance and cannot exceed 7 days during the contract period. Compliance with local licensing requirements is mandatory. Two supervisory references from prior assignments will be needed. Candidates must have clear understanding of neuro surgical procedures and interventions.
