Travel Surgical Tech - $2,032 per week in Portland, OR

License: Valid compact license required. Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA, ASATT Must-Have: Must have broad knowledge of surgical equipment. Must have travel experience. Certified surgical technologist or military trained required. Description: This position requires travel experience in surgical services. The surgical tech will work in a fast-paced environment, providing support in the operating room. The role includes assisting in various surgical procedures and ensuring the availability of surgical instruments. On-call requirements are included, with weekday call and weekend call every four weeks. Weekend shift work is required as per department needs. The operating room (OR) is equipped for a variety of specialties, focusing primarily on adult surgical cases. Preferred specialties include bariatrics, orthopedics, neuro, ENT, gynecology, and vascular among others. The surgical tech will be expected to maintain aseptic technique and assist the surgical team during procedures. Experience with advanced surgical technologies and systems is a plus. The role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care. Candidates must be adaptable and able to float between surgical specialties if needed. Maintaining a professional demeanor and providing excellent patient care is essential in this role.
