Job Title: Surgical Technician II Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: OR Tech / Surgical Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 3 Years License: Valid State License Required Certifications: BLS, CST, NBSTS Must-Have: - 1 Year Travel Experience - On-Call Availability Preferred - Weekend Coverage Required: Every Other Weekend Description: Certified OR Tech needed for multiple specialties including ortho, neuro, general, ENT, urology, OB/gyn, and trauma. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience. One year of travel experience is required. On-call duties are not required but may be offered and available. Candidates will be expected to float within scope to meet facility needs. The facility is an acute care hospital with a total of 130 staffed beds. Charting is performed using an electronic health record system. Experience with the electronic health record system is preferred. Weekend shifts and options may vary per contract. Candidates must be proficient in various surgical procedures including abdominal hysterectomy, arthroscopy, and trauma procedures. Knowledge of aseptic technique, specimen handling, and universal protocol is essential. Candidates must be able to work with interdisciplinary support services such as physical therapy and social services. The unit will cater to adult and geriatric patient age groups. Travel compliance requirements will be established prior to application. Candidates should be prepared to provide accurate work history and references.
