Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Technologist – Lubbock, TX 79410Start Date: August 10, 2026
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Schedule: Day shift, Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts). On-call required for nights, weekends, and holidays. 13-week assignment (91 days).
Highlights:- Level II Trauma Center with 379 staffed beds in a short-term acute care setting
- Reduced orientation period of only 8 hours (versus standard 40 hours)
- Work with a specialized cardiovascular surgical team in a 22-room operating suite
- Focus on cardiothoracic and vascular procedures including open heart cases, CABG, valve replacements, and endovascular repairs

Requirements:- Active CST certification with either NBSTSA or NCCT credential
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of consecutive experience in cardiovascular surgery required
- Recent CV case experience within the last 3 months (must have performed open heart cases)
- Must be able to independently scrub heart valve and open heart procedures
- Cardiothoracic and vascular experience required (hardstop requirement)
- Previous travel experience required
- Level II Trauma Center experience required; Level I experience preferred
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- Valid state license or compact license required at time of submission
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
