Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Operating Room Surgical Technologist – Lubbock, TX 79410

Start Date: August 10, 2026

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (11:00 AM - 7:00 PM), Monday through Friday. On-call required for nights, weekends, and holidays. No weekend shifts required during regular schedule.

Highlights:
  • 13-week travel assignment at a 379-bed Level II Trauma Center
  • Reduced orientation period of only 8 hours (versus standard 40 hours)
  • Specialize in cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures
  • Work with a 1:3 staff ratio in a 22-room surgical department

Requirements:
  • Current BLS certification required
  • CST certification with either NBSTSA or NCCT credential required
  • Minimum 2 years of consecutive experience in cardiovascular surgery required
  • Recent CV case experience within the last 3 months, including open heart cases
  • Must be able to independently scrub heart valve and open heart procedures
  • Previous travel experience required
  • Valid state license or Compact license required at time of submission
  • Experience with cardiothoracic and vascular procedures is essential
  • Epic charting system experience preferred
  • Level II Trauma Center experience required; Level I experience preferred
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
