Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Surgical Tech (CST) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 10 hours (21:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 5 years License: CST licensure (NBSTSA) Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Experience with vascular, transplant, ophthalmology, spine, robotic, and cardiac procedures is ideal. Description: Assists in preparing for and during surgery by performing routine and delegated duties according to standards and policies. Supports quality patient care throughout the surgical process. Holds a valid BLS certification. Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Has knowledge and experience with various surgical procedures. Communicates effectively with the surgical team. Maintains a sterile environment and adheres to aseptic techniques. Demonstrates proficiency in the use of surgical equipment and instruments. Participates in team meetings and contributes to continuous improvement efforts. Adheres to safety protocols and practices. Maintains accurate records and documentation as needed. Contributes to patient education and support as directed. Is available for on-call responsibilities and weekend shifts as scheduled. Works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrates flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and surgical circumstances. Participates in ongoing training and professional development.
