Travel Surgical Tech - $2,326 per week in Clinton Township, MI

Job Title: Surgical Technician First Assistant Profession: Surgical Technician Specialty: Not specified Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 5x8s or 4x10s, with the earliest start at 6:20 AM Experience: Minimum of two years or an associate's/technical degree preferred License: BLS provider certification Certifications: NBSTSA CSFA certification required Must-Have: - Proficiency in closing total joints and/or performing bedside for robotics cases. - One of the following education requirements: - High School Diploma plus two years of experience - GED plus two years of experience - Associates Degree - Technical Degree Description: Position patients to provide the best exposure for surgical procedures while maximizing patient comfort and safety. Provide visualization of the operative site using appropriate methods. Utilize techniques to achieve temporary and permanent hemostasis. Assist with body plane closures, application of wound dressings, and securing of drainage systems. Participate as a surgical team member in preparation of the surgical suite with appropriate instruments, resources, and supplies. Assist with room clean-up and removal of soiled case carts, supplies, and trash from the operating room as needed at the completion of surgical cases. Workers will be expected to float to areas of equal or lesser acuity if requested to avoid shift cancellations. This may include scrubbing cases. If the worker is an RNFA, they would be expected to float to the OR Circulator position. May need to work past the scheduled shift end to complete cases. There is potential to flex off hours later in the week to compensate if desired and if procedure volume allows. Within the scope of the job, critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision are required. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
