Job Title: Pediatric OR Tech Surgical Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Pediatric OR Tech Duration: 17 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (10:00 - 18:30) Experience: Minimum two years of pediatric scrub experience required. License: Must have a valid Surgical Technologist license. Certifications: BLS AHA certification required. Must-Have: Strong skills in Eyes, Urology, Neuro, and Ortho. Completed a surgical technologist program or two years of experience in the Surgical Technologist role may be considered. Description: Interview availability is required for this position. Candidates must provide three available dates and times for the interview, including their time zone. The shift is Monday to Friday, with weeknight, weekend, and holiday call responsibilities. All candidates must have a minimum of two years of pediatric scrub experience. Candidates must possess strong skills in Eyes, Urology, Neuro, and Ortho. BLS AHA certification is required. Successful completion of a surgical technologist program is preferred. All requirements are a hard stop; candidates must demonstrate skills at levels 3 or 4 for all pediatric requirements. Travelers will take call for general surgeries, but cardiac surgeries are excluded. Candidates will need experience with high acuity cases. Pass/fail testing is required prior to the start of the role, with strict passing criteria. The position requires the ability to care for patients of all age groups, including neonates and pediatrics. The Surgical Technologist will prepare the Operating Room prior to surgery, promote patient safety during procedures, assist surgeons, and manage instruments and supplies used in surgery. This role includes high acuity responsibilities and requires recent experience in a Level I trauma setting.
