Job Title

Travel Surgical Technologist – CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days | Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM | On-Call Required

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scrub technologist duties within the cardiovascular operating room, supporting open heart and interventional cardiology procedures
  • Assist with large-bore IV starts, chin-to-toe hair removal, medication administration, skin assessment, and skin prep
  • Assist with arterial line, central line, and epidural placement under appropriate supervision
  • Transport patients to the OR and assist with induction, intubation, and patient positioning
  • Utilize electronic documentation systems accurately and efficiently in a high-acuity environment
  • Remain available for on-call assignments, including staying late 1–2 times per week as required
Required Qualifications
  • Active CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification — mandatory, no exceptions
  • Demonstrated CVOR experience is required
  • Minimum of 2 prior travel assignments completed — required, no exceptions
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with BCMA and proficiency in electronic documentation (Cerner preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills with interdepartmental teams
  • Familiarity with GE Carescape monitoring systems and Fuji ultrasound equipment
