Travel Surgical Technologist – Neuro/Spine

Birmingham, Alabama

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days (0600–1830) | Full-Time | Onsite | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Call Required

• Scrub and assist in Neuro and Spine surgical procedures within a main operating room setting
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure proper handling of instruments, supplies, and equipment throughout surgical cases
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and circulating nurses to support safe and efficient surgical care
• Participate in on-call rotation as evenly distributed by the OR Coordinator, including weekend call
• Remain available for late cases beyond scheduled shift end as required by surgical volume
• Document and utilize the electronic medical records system accurately in accordance with facility protocols

• Minimum of 2 years of surgical technologist experience with demonstrated Neuro/Spine specialty skills
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficiency with standard OR equipment and instrumentation
• Experience working within an electronic medical records system (Cerner preferred)
• Ability to work a 12-hour day shift schedule including late cases and on-call assignments

• Experience in Vascular surgery
• Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical systems (da Vinci)
• Background in Orthopedic and/or Maxillofacial surgical procedures
