Travel Surgical Technologist – Neuro/Spine
LocationBirmingham, Alabama
Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Days (11:00 AM – 9:30 PM) with lates and call | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | On-call weekends as distributed by Coordinator
Key Responsibilities- Scrub and assist in Neuro/Spine surgical procedures within a Main OR setting
- Support orthopedic and vascular surgical cases as needed
- Operate and assist with specialized surgical robotics and navigation equipment including Globus, Mazor, and Mako systems
- Assist with cranial and endovascular procedures
- Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio within a 24-bed OR environment
- Utilize Cerner EMR system for documentation and case management
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience
- Demonstrated experience in Neuro/Spine, Orthopedic, and Vascular surgical specialties
- Hands-on experience with Globus and Mazor robotics for spine and Mako for joint procedures
- Experience with cranial and endovascular procedures
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with Vascular and Da Vinci robotic-assisted surgical procedures
- Background in Maxillofacial surgical cases
- Additional orthopedic subspecialty experience
